Shields attained a unanimous decision victory over Danielle Perkins. Thus, she became the first boxer, male or female, to hold undisputed belts in three weight categories. Further, Sunday’s triumph made Shields the first woman to be the title-hold of undisputed heavyweight champion.

Shields has myriad of options to choose from her next opponent even as the cheers of the title still ringing in her ears. She has already lined-up some possible opponents for her next outing. Moreover, the undisputed titlist remarked on how busy she would like to be for the remainder of 2025.

“I want to fight two more times this year,” said Shields in a post-fight interview.

“I want to fight against Franchon-Cruz, I want to do a rematch with Hanna Gabriels.

“I want to bring Savannah Marshall to the US and tap that (expletive) again. It’s always on the table if Cris Cyborg or Laila Ali want to fight,” she said.

Meanwhile, Claressa Shields’promoter has hinted that the champion is willing for a rematch with Savannah Marshall. Shields, who made more history in women’s boxing by becoming the undisputed heavyweight world champion, is ready for a replay with her greatest rival in the same division. In case the fight materializes, then it must take place in the US or on neutral ground.

Still celebrating her heavyweight title victory over Danielle Perkins, Claressa Shields is setting her sights on a rematch of her 2022 bout with Savannah Marshall. According to her promoter Dmitry Salita, Shields wants to stage at heavyweight. In their last bout, Shields took a unanimous decision win over Marshall at the middleweight division.

Salita further noted that he’s officially reached out to Marshall’s team about their interest in the fight. He aspires to bring the match to fruition, adding that Shields extra power at heavyweight makes her an even bigger risk to obtain a knockout.

Shields, who is a two-time Olympic gold medallist, began her professional career in November 2016. She officially went pro. When she won her first match, against Franchón Crews-Dezurn, by unanimous decision.

In the event the proposed rematch is to gain any traction, the promoter noted that the fight would need to be either staged in the US or in a neutral place and not in England. The duo had their first meeting in England. Shields is as proficient as they come at this point and would seem to be eyeing for a challenger that will attract as much money and notoriety as possible, with Marshall being a substantial name in women’s boxing arena.
